After breakfast Egypt Sunset Tours tour guide would pick you up from your hotel in Cairo/Giza , start the trip to the valley of the whales. On the route, we will stop first by Lake Qaroon where the famous Auberge hotel still stands which was once the rest house of king Farook 1936. Proceed to Wadi ElRayyan with stops in El Mudawara mountain (the magnificent spot overlooks the beautiful landscape below where deep blue waters meet the golden yellow sands). Continue to the valley of Rayyan protectorate area where there is so much to see (the two lakes, waterfalls, natural life, birds). The most memorable is the spectacular scenery of Wadi El-Rayyan, the contrast between the blue waters of the lakes and the golden desert land.
Continue our trip to Wadi El-Hitan, Wadi Hitan was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in July 2005 for its hundreds of fossils of some of the earliest forms of whale, the archaeoceti (a now extinct sub-order of whales). Wadi Hitan reveals evidence for the explanation of one of the greatest mysteries of the evolution of whales: the emergence of the whale as an ocean-going mammal from a previous life as a land-based animal. No other place in the world yields the number, concentration and quality of such fossils, as is their accessibility and setting in an attractive and protected landscape. This is why Wadi Hitan was added by the UNESCO to the list of protected World Heritage sites.
